Pre-Fab Home Theater in a Box

Just choose what columns, crown molding, baseboards and finish that you prefer.

Hey Bubbas, check this out:

Saw this video from a company that puts together pre-fab home theater kits in a box. We always discuss all types of home theater and entertainment setups, this one is put together to create a traditional looking home theater room. It’s a pretty nice concept, you just purchase which pieces you want, assemble them and attache them to your walls, and you have a near instant home theater. This is from Row One by Jasper Cabinet. They have a pretty big selection of home theater seats and other accessories, but their furniture is what caught our eye. This concept is their “Theater Out of the Box Program”; you select what kind of trim you’d like and the size of your room, and they send you a kit that can be assembled. Though they suggest that a pro help you out, their video makes it look about as easy as an average set of shelves from Ikea.

Taking cues from custom theater designs, the RowOne Collection has the look of high-end artisan craftsmanship, but at a fraction of the price. No matter which pieces you choose, everything is designed to work together in harmony.  Feel free to mix and match and create a customized home cinema environment. All pieces ship either pre-assembled or knock-down ready for assembly, and utilize solid hardwoods and veneers for a lifetime of enjoyment.

Assembling Home Theater in a Box

This is certainly less expensive than a custom cabinetmaker showing up at your place, but with solid wood finishes, and enough pieces to fill your room, it’s not going to be cheap. Row One offers other nice looking furniture pieces also.  If you’re looking for a way to put together a custom, rich looking, traditional space, this might be the way to go. While it does look like a job that a do it yourselfer could handle, I would be sure that you’ve got a little carpentry experience behind you. That’s a lot of nice wood trim that needs to be level, if it’s gonna keep that elegant look.
